As a special very limited release for International Coffee Day, we are excited to launch this lovely Ethiopian coffee from producer Negash Abarago.

Located in Limmu, Ethiopia, Negash is a second-generation producer, and has spent over a decade focused on his growing practices to continually push the quality of coffee that he produces. In 2020, Negash founded his own washing station to fully control the process of his own coffee as well as small quantities from surrounding farms.

Sitting at 2100masl, Negash's farm produces high quality 74110 and 74112 varietal coffee cherries, where they grow alongside bananas and avocados. The choice of varietal, coupled with the dedication to quality and control across all aspects of the cultivation has seen Negash recognized in the Cup of Excellence awards.

The ripe cherries are hand picked, sorted and fully washed before drying on traditional raised beds for 10-12 days, where focus is on consistent and controlled drying to preserve quality and deliver optimal flavour development.

The result is a clean, vibrant cup with light florals, a sweet cherry compote flavour and a soft black tea-like quality. A beautiful and refined coffee with sweetness and balance that is a testament to the focus at every stage of production.
